About Me

Hello world!

My name is Kirstin Webb, and I am a sophomore at Washington College. I am working on completing a BA in Anthropology with a minor in Psychology and a concentration in Chesapeake Regional Studies. I have grown up around the Bay and this semester I’m participating in a program that my school offers called the Chesapeake Semester.

This is a semester-long, interdisciplinary study of the “complex history, ecology, and culture of the Chesapeake as a microcosm of the challenges and transitions confronting coastal communities around the world”.

In addition to classes this fall, myself and nine other students will be embarking on four journeys in order to gain experience in field work and have hands-on learning experiences. The program is explained in detail on the site linked above.

I hope you all enjoy this documentation of my experience!
